Fundación Iberdrola España acts in the Spanish social fabric with the clear purpose of building a more sustainable and equitable world. Its creation marks a significant milestone in the realisation of the commitment that Iberdrola España has made over the years to the sustainable development of this country, encompassing not only the energy sector, but also the fundamental pillars of culture and society.

Training and Research

Fundación Iberdrola España is committed to training and research as drivers of social change. Its Scholarship and Research Programme aims to train a new generation of professionals capable of driving the transition to a sustainable energy model, contributing to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and achieving the goals set by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Biodiversity and climate change

Another of Fundación Iberdrola España's main lines of action is the protection of biodiversity and the fight against climate change. In this area, the foundation's efforts are mainly focused on three main areas: the protection of birdlife, habitat conservation and dissemination.

Art and Culture

The promotion of art and culture is another of Fundación Iberdrola España's priority objectives. They do so through three lines of action: the restoration, conservation and illumination of historical and artistic heritage; the holding of exhibitions and displays of Iberdrola España's artistic and industrial heritage, and the promotion of Spanish art and culture.

Social Action

The foundation aims to improve the quality of life of the most vulnerable people in the communities where Iberdrola España operates through a social action plan. By establishing alliances with non-profit entities, each year it promotes cooperation and solidarity projects that target four groups considered vulnerable: children, young people, women, and persons with disabilities.
