Iberdrola España installs new electric vehicle charging points at the Hotel Ciudad de Úbeda, promoting sustainable mobility in the city

The installation, comprising three charging points, facilitates electric vehicle use in a World Heritage Site. Andalusia now has over 1,600 Iberdrola España public charging points, all powered by 100% renewable energy (GdOs)

Úbeda (Andalusia) takes another step forward in sustainable mobility with the launch of a new Iberdrola España charging station at the Hotel Ciudad de Úbeda. The facility, equipped with three charging points, enhances the city’s services and makes it easier for both residents and visitors to travel by electric vehicle, in a region where the company already operates more than 1,600 public charging points.

Located on Calle Cronista Juan de la Torre, the new charging points allow users to integrate charging into their stay, improving the travel experience in a leading tourist destination while promoting a more efficient and environmentally friendly mobility model. The installed equipment offers a range of power levels, including two 50 kW chargers and two up to 22 kW, catering to both rapid charging needs and convenience charging during medium-length stays, such as meals, sightseeing visits, or a working day-

Simple and connected charging

Iberdrola España’s electric charging network is supported by its “mobility app”, one of the highest-rated in the sector. The app allows users to locate nearby charging points, check real-time availability, reserve chargers, and manage payments directly from their mobile phones. It also facilitates route planning, helping integrate charging into regular journeys and improving the electric vehicle user experience.

Zero-emission mobility in Andalusia

All Iberdrola España charging points supply energy from renewable sources with guarantees of origin (GdOs), contributing to reduced transport emissions and supporting a more sustainable energy model. Electric mobility also represents a significant opportunity for greater energy independence and autonomy.

With this new installation, Iberdrola España continues to expand its public charging network in Andalusia, bringing electric mobility to more users and strengthening an increasingly accessible ecosystem.
