Iberdrola España and Santander Consumer Renting launch ‘Green Renting Iberdrola’, an all-inclusive electric vehicle subscription solution

The package combines the electric vehicle, home charger, installation, electricity, maintenance, insurance and roadside assistance into a single monthly payment.
The service launches with eight fully electric models from six different brands, offering certified ranges of between 300 and 583 kilometres.

Iberdrola España and Santander Consumer Renting have launched ‘Green Renting Iberdrola’, an all-inclusive electric vehicle subscription solution designed to make the transition to electric mobility easier and more accessible, with monthly energy solutions starting from €491.

The new offering brings together everything customers need in a single monthly payment. It includes the vehicle, installation of a home charging point, a smart charger, the electricity needed for the duration and mileage of the contract—both at home and on the road—as well as the services traditionally associated with leasing, including maintenance, comprehensive insurance and roadside assistance.

The service launches with eight electric models spanning a range of segments and driving needs, with certified ranges of between 300 and 583 kilometres. The initial line-up includes the Renault 5, Volvo EX30, Volvo EC40, BYD Dolphin Surf, BYD Atto 2, Mazda 6E, Xpeng G6 and MG S5, with additional models to be added over time.

The most affordable option is the BYD Dolphin Surf Comfort 115 kW, available from €491 per month including VAT. The package includes the vehicle, electricity, charger installation and a state-of-the-art charging unit. All models are available through the Green Renting Iberdrola website.

With this launch, Iberdrola España and Santander Consumer Renting are introducing a new approach to electric vehicle leasing in Spain, removing much of the complexity associated with switching to electric mobility. Customers no longer need to arrange charging infrastructure, energy contracts, insurance or maintenance separately, as everything is covered under a single agreement.

Green Renting Iberdrola has been designed to make electric mobility accessible to a broader range of drivers by lowering barriers to entry and offering a simpler, more cost-effective and convenient alternative to conventional vehicle ownership.

The package also includes the electricity required to charge the vehicle, whether at home through the included charger or via Iberdrola España’s public charging network, the largest in Spain.

Predictable costs

Customers know the total cost of driving their electric vehicle from the outset, with no hidden fees or unexpected charges. Energy allowances are calculated annually and incorporated into the monthly fee, providing flexibility while adapting to real-world usage patterns.

Customers can also tailor the package to their needs by choosing both the contract duration and annual mileage allowance. Options include three- or four-year terms and mileage packages ranging from 10,000 to 20,000 kilometres per year, making the solution suitable for everyone from urban drivers to frequent long-distance travellers.

If a customer exceeds the electricity allowance included in the contract, charging can continue uninterrupted. Any additional consumption will simply be billed according to the customer’s existing household electricity tariff. The product is not tied to a specific electricity plan, meaning Iberdrola España customers can sign up without changing their current contract.

In addition to simplifying the switch to electric mobility, Green Renting Iberdrola helps reduce the technology risk associated with the rapid pace of innovation in electric vehicles. As a leasing solution, it allows customers to benefit from the latest advances in vehicle technology without taking on the long-term risks of ownership.

Through this new initiative, Iberdrola España and Santander Consumer Renting are furthering their commitment to the energy transition and to the development of cleaner, more sustainable mobility solutions that are efficient, accessible and less reliant on fossil fuels.
