The charging infrastructure comprises a dual 50 kilowatt (kW) charging point, with capacity for two vehicles.

Iberdrola España has installed an electric vehicle charging facility at the Intelier Orange Hotel in Benicàssim (Castellón), a strategic location next to the Municipal Festival Grounds, as part of its ongoing commitment to promoting sustainable mobility.

The infrastructure comprises a dual 50 kilowatt (kW) charging point, capable of charging two vehicles simultaneously, a single 50 kW charger and a dual 22 kW charger, enabling up to four electric cars to be charged at the same time. The installation has been made possible thanks to an agreement between Iberdrola España, which has provided the equipment, installed it and is responsible for its management, and the Intelier Orange Hotel, which has made the car park space where the chargers are located available.

It is worth noting that users of these facilities charge their electric cars' batteries using 100% green energy, sourced from renewable generation sources, with a certificate of guarantee of origin (GdOs). Furthermore, these charging points offer the option to pay by credit or debit card as they are equipped with a payment terminal (POS).

Users can find the charging points on the Iberdrola Public Charging App, where they can locate them, check their operational status in real time and book and pay via their mobile phone.

Pioneers in sustainable mobility

Iberdrola España, as part of its commitment to promoting and facilitating access to electric cars, has now exceeded 11,000 operational charging points in Spain. In this way, as well as driving forward the electrification of mobility in the country, it is contributing to the transition towards an economy that is independent of fossil fuels, more efficient and emission-free.

As for the chargers the most common type with approximately 6,500 points is the 22 kilowatts model accounting for 60% of the networks. This lower-cost type is designed for longer convenience charging sessions such as whilst shopping, enjoying a day out at a leisure centre or working. Also noteworthy are the more than 1,500 ultra-fast charging points (100 kilowatts or more) already in operation, which allow drivers to stop and charge 80% of the battery in under 15 minutes before continuing their journey, and the 1,500 fast charging points (50 kilowatts) that offer a balance between fast charging and a very competitive price.
