Hydroelectric power

With an installed capacity of more than 11,000 MW across more than 120 hydroelectric plants in Spain, the company supplies nearly eight million homes. Through energy storage technologies, such as pumped-storage plants and batteries, Iberdrola España brings greater flexibility to the electricity system.

At Iberdrola España, we are leading its global development. Thus, we have the largest green hydrogen plant in Europe in Puertollano and we are the first company to receive the AENOR renewable hydrogen certificate.
