ATuAire, a company of Iberdrola España specialising in efficient climate control and renewable energy solutions for businesses, industry and residential communities, has completed the electrification works for the new Miroko Hub leisure centres in Valdepeñas (province of Ciudad Real, Castilla-La Mancha) and Cieza (Region of Murcia). Developed in collaboration with Miroko Hub, the project marks a strong commitment to sustainability and positions the new facilities as benchmarks for environmentally responsible leisure in their respective regions.

The new complexes feature bowling alleys, arcade zones and recreational spaces designed for audiences of all ages. What sets them apart is not only their entertainment offering, but also their energy model: the centres operate using next-generation heat pump technology and are powered exclusively by 100% renewable electricity. This approach reduces reliance on fossil fuels and significantly lowers the carbon footprint of the facilities.

Beyond its environmental impact, the project also stands out for its innovative financial model, which enables access to advanced energy technology without requiring upfront investment or balance-sheet impact for the operator. Backed by the Iberdrola Group, ATuAire offers highly competitive energy and financing conditions. For Miroko Hub, this has translated into 100% project financing and access to long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), energy supply contracts that have traditionally been available primarily to large industrial consumers.

Another distinctive feature of ATuAire’s approach is its collaborative philosophy. While the implementation of this project has been carried out by specialised technical teams, the company remains committed to strengthening local professional networks wherever it operates. In both Valdepeñas and Cieza, ATuAire is using the launch of the new centres to engage local installers, engineering firms and maintenance companies interested in joining as partner collaborators. The objective is to help them deliver projects that might previously have been unfeasible, relieve them of complex administrative processes and provide access to new business opportunities — with guaranteed payment security and integration into a trusted professional network. As the company explains, “Our aim is not to compete, but to add value.”
