Iberdrola España has commissioned 18 new charging points for electric vehicles in the underground car park at the Viapol Center, at Calle Pirotecnia 3 in Seville. This brings the number of public charging points operated by the company in Andalusia to over 1,300.

The new infrastructure includes eighteen 7.4 kW charging points, with a total installed power of 100 kW. This location already has two 50 kW chargers and two 22 kW chargers. These installations are included in Iberdrola España's free public charging app, where users can locate them, check their availability in real time, reserve them and manage payment from their mobile phones.

The initiative is part of Iberdrola España's charging infrastructure deployment plan, which has turned the company into the sector leader in Spain, with more than 9,600 public points in operation throughout the country and interoperability agreements that extend this network to 14,000 available points.

Boosting electric mobility in Andalusia

Andalusia is a key region in Iberdrola España's sustainable mobility strategy. With a presence in all eight provinces, the company has rolled out charging solutions in car parks, on roads, in hotels, restaurants, shopping centres and service stations, promoting a clean and accessible transport model for all.

The company has increased its public network in the region by a multiple of five in the last two years, making a decisive contribution to the decarbonisation of transport, one of the sectors with the highest CO₂ emissions.

Electric mobility for a more sustainable city

The installation of the new charging points at Viapol Center strengthens the electric mobility infrastructure in downtown Seville, responds to the growing demand for charging solutions in urban environments and contributes to moving towards a more sustainable electric mobility model.
