The event was attended by the CEO of Iberdrola España, Mario Ruiz-Tagle, who thanked the employees for their dedication and hard work over decades, which has enabled the company to grow and expand internationally, becoming a world leader.
During the event, Mario Ruiz-Tagle highlighted that almost 125 years ago, ‘the foundations of Iberdrola España were laid in this country, and we have managed to go down an extraordinary path thanks to you, which has allowed us to be one of the two largest companies in the world today and the leading European electricity company’.

The CEO of Iberdrola España also mentioned his pride in ‘providing such good service to our communities 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, and being there whenever we’re needed, like during the cold drop that struck the province of Valencia. That’s why it’s essential to have your dedication and hard work: your experience is key to facing challenges and advancing in electrification’.
The professionals received a memento for their years of service with Iberdrola España. Employees who have been with the company for 40 years received a watch, as did those who retired last year, who also received a commemorative plate. Active staff who completed 25 years of service in 2024 were presented with a silver caravel.
The company also plans to hold similar employee recognition events in, Valladolid and Madrid in the near future.
