The CEO of Iberdrola España also sent a message of trust in Europe's ability to lead the change: ‘Electrification is unstoppable. It’s key to maintaining European industry’s competitiveness. To do that, we need clear and stable energy policies, predictable regulatory frameworks and streamlined processes to make those investments’.

The event was attended by leading players in energy and reflects Iberdrola España's commitment to Europe’s current energy transformation, especially in Spain, which faces an urgent need to electrify key sectors such as industry, transport and construction.

Ruiz-Tagle also highlighted the importance of the Basque Country, which is not only the Iberdrola Group’s origin and headquarters, but also a region with an ecosystem of companies, institutions and talent that work together to promote competitiveness and economic growth. ‘Iberdrola España is proud to actively contribute to this activity through our investments, our purchases and the jobs we create’, he added.
