Iberdrola España will set up fan zones in Madrid and Huelva to support the historic European women's football final against England

  • Berlín Park, in the capital, and Plaza de las Monjas, in the city of Huelva, will host this Sunday the spaces that the company will set up to watch the final against England.
  • In Madrid, a large screen will be installed in partnership with the Royal Spanish Football Federation and the Andalusian 'fan zone' will also have a giant screen to follow the match, as well as multiple games - table football, photo booth, cheer-o-meter or shot-o-meter - and distribution of popcorn, national team training shirts and many other merchandising items.
  • Iberdrola España was a pioneer in its commitment to women's football and, today, is the main sponsor of the senior national team, youth category teams, as well as the Queen's Cup-Iberdrola and the Iberdrola Super Cup, among other competitions.

Iberdrola España ha organizado fan zones por todo el país durante todo el campeonato continental.

Spain is already in the final and Iberdrola España wants to once again put all its energy at the service of the Spanish football team. The company has chosen on this occasion Berlín Park in Madrid and Plaza de las Monjas in Huelva to set up spaces where fans can follow the continental title match live. Spain faces England on Sunday, July 27 at 6 PM at St. Jakob-Park Stadium in Basel (Switzerland).

The company will partner with the Royal Spanish Football Federation in the space set up in the capital, which will be open from 5 PM to 9 PM, and in Huelva the 'fan zone' will be open from 4 PM to 8 PM.

Team supporters who come to these spaces will be able to enjoy a variety of activities and experiences and follow the match on a giant screen. In Madrid, shirts will be distributed and attendees will be able to purchase drinks. Meanwhile, Huelva residents will enjoy multiple games - such as table football, photo booth, cheer-o-meter or shot-o-meter - and distribution of popcorn, national team training shirts and many other merchandising items.

Iberdrola España has accompanied the Spanish women's football team throughout its journey to conquer Europe up to the final. The electric company has already organized similar initiatives in recent days for this continental football championship. Specifically, on July 3 in Almería, at Plaza de las Velas; on the 7th in A Coruña, at Riazor Parking, on July 11 in Benidorm, at the Town Hall Square, and last Wednesday in Oviedo, with hundreds of people attending each one.

It should be remembered that the company already supported and accompanied the football team with its fan zones organized during the international cup in Australia and New Zealand in 2023, in which Spain achieved its first star in the senior category, fan zones in Valencia, Madrid and Málaga to follow the group stage, as well as in Madrid, Valladolid and Cádiz to experience the final.

Nearly a decade of pioneering support for Spanish women's football

The company's pioneering support for this sport dates back almost a decade. In August 2016, it became the main promoter of women's football in Spain.

Iberdrola España is today the main sponsor of the senior national team, youth category teams, as well as the Queen's Cup-Iberdrola and the Iberdrola Super Cup, among other competitions. It also counts players such as Alexia Putellas, the first Spanish winner of the Ballon d'Or in 2021 and 2022 who also won The Best award in the same seasons, Irene Paredes or Vicky López as members of its Iberdrola Ambassadors program. This initiative brings together 35 leading athletes who promote female visibility and leadership in sports, whom the company seeks to give the greatest possible exposure in media and social networks.
