Iberdrola España commissions a photovoltaic installation for Flowserve in Pozuelo de Alarcón

• The company, a leader in renewable energies, will supply green energy to the industrial plant that the technology company has in the Madrid municipality for the next 30 years.

Iberdrola España, a world leader in renewable energiesExternal link, opens in new window. , and Flowserve, one of the world's leading companies in products and services for the control and movement of fluids, have made progress in their respective sustainability strategies with the signing of a long-term renewable energy purchase agreement (PPAExternal link, opens in new window. , Power Purchase Agreement), whereby Iberdrola España will supply green energy to Flowserve's industrial plant in Pozuelo de Alarcón for the next 30 years. 

Based on this agreement, Iberdrola España will promote, build and operate a new renewable facility, which it will develop on the grounds of Flowserve's industrial plant. The plant will consist of around 900 photovoltaic modules of 455Wp each, which will add up to a power of 409 kWp, enough to prevent the emission of more than 4,350 tonnes of CO₂ into the atmosphere over the next 30 years. 

The agreement, which includes the supply and commissioning by Iberdrola España of three 22kW charging points, reinforces Iberdrola España's innovative approach to renewable energy strategy.  It reinforces the innovative approach of Iberdrola España's renewable strategy, through bilateral contracts that promote energy supply at competitive and stable prices with large customers committed to sustainable consumption.

The commissioning of the solar plant will allow 24% of Flowserve Pozuelo's electricity consumption to come from renewable self-consumption,External link, opens in new window.  contributing directly to its goal of reducing carbon emissions intensity by 40% by 2030.
