There, with a visit to sculptures and paintings restored thanks to the Iberdrola Foundation, they learned first-hand about the electricity company's commitment to the national art gallery, with which it has been collaborating since 2010 with conservation and restoration programmes, as well as sponsoring several exhibitions. Iberdrola has also been a protective partner of the museum since 2018.
The judo player Marta Arce, the handball player Eli Pinedo, the karate player Sandra Sánchez, the gymnast Jesús Carballo, the weightlifting athlete Lydia Valentín and the journalist Susanna Griso have come together to express their support for the initiative led by Iberdrola, awards which are now in their fourth edition and which aim to make six new social projects based on sport a reality.
In this regard, the Iberdrola Supera Awards will soon recognise these six projects launched in Spain in favour of gender equality through sport in the categories of grassroots sport, competition, inclusion, social, dissemination and innovation, which will receive a prize of €50,000 each.
