i-DE trains the National Police in Palencia to respond to high-risk situations in electrical facilities.

i-DE, Iberdrola España's distribution company, as part of an established collaboration with the National Police, with trainers from technical units and its prevention staff, has delivered a technical session to the National Police of Palencia on the risks and safety measures for tasks that their officers may have to carry out in the event of an emergency or incident at electrical installations or in their vicinity.

During the training, which was attended by over 30 members of the Police Force, they were taught how to identify an electrical installation, its topology, basic electricity concepts, the effects of electric current on the human body, risks and prevention when working with electrical installations, and possible actions within them or nearby.

This session, organised by Security and Resilience, i-DE, and the National Police, was inaugurated by the Deputy Government Delegate for the province, Ángel Domingo Miguel, the Iberdrola España Delegate for Castile and León, Miguel Calvo, the Chief Commissioner of Palencia, José Carlos Donoso, and the Territorial Head of Security in Spain, Laureano Arias. The training, which took place over two morning sessions to align with the police services' citizen assistance duties, was delivered by Óscar Pablos from the i-DE business.

With initiatives like this, the company demonstrates, once again, its commitment to training, prevention, and the responsibilities that stem from it, with the ultimate goal of helping the State Security Forces develop an awareness of a risk that is invisible to the untrained eye.
