i-DE trains the National Police in Palencia to respond to high-risk situations in electrical facilities.

i-DE, Iberdrola España’s distributor, under the collaboration framework established with the National Police, with trainers from technical units and their occupational hazard prevention staff, gave the Palencia National Police a training session on the risks and safety measures for the work that their agents may have to carry out in the event of an emergency or incident in electrical installations or in their vicinity.

The session, which was attended by more than 30 members of the police, explained how to identify an electrical installation, its topology, basic concepts about electricity, the effects of an electrical current on the human body, risks and prevention when working on electrical installations and possible actions to be taken on or in their vicinity.

This talk, organised by Seguridad y Resiliencia, i-DE and the National Police, was opened by the assistant deputy of the government in the province, Ángel Domingo Miguel, the representative of Iberdrola España in Castilla and León, Miguel Calvo, the Chief Commissioner of Palencia, José Carlos Donoso, and the territorial head of Seguridad España, Laureano Arias. Óscar Pablos, from the i-DE business, was in charge of giving the session, which took place over two mornings to make it compatible with citizen police services.

With this type of initiative, the company once again demonstrates its commitment to training, prevention and the responsibilities that derive from it, with the ultimate aim of making the State Security Forces aware of a risk that is invisible to the untrained eye.
