The Iberdrola Group invests in TRIBBU to promote more efficient and sustainable mobility

  • The Iberdrola Group has led the latest round of financing for this start-up with €1M through its international PERSEO programme

The Iberdrola Group is expanding its portfolio of investments in innovative and sustainable business models with its commitment to TRIBBU, Spain's leading urban carpooling platform. Through its PERSEO programme, which has been supporting entrepreneurial projects with high growth potential and positive impact for nearly 20 years, the company has led the latest round of financing for the start-up with a €1M investment. 


With this decision, the Iberdrola Group reaffirms its commitment to innovative and sustainable solutions that respond to social, business and industrial needs. In this case, it’s helping to promote more efficient, affordable and environmentally friendly mobility alternatives


TRIBBU, formerly known as Hoop Carpool, seeks to expand the use of car sharing to new audiences. After focusing on companies and universities, it is now opening its app to individuals. The platform already has 55,000 registered users and has facilitated more than half a million trips. With Iberdrola Group's support, it plans to exceed 15 million trips by 2027, preventing the release of more than 60 million tonnes of CO₂.
