Pedro Azagra, new CEO of Iberdrola Group

The Board of Iberdrola, S.A., the holding company of the group that is part of Iberdrola España, has appointed Pedro Azagra as CEO of the Iberdrola Group, succeeding Armando Martínez, who held the position until now.
Pedro Azagra has been with Iberdrola Group for 25 years, initially as director of development and responsible for the Company's international expansion, and for the last three years as CEO of Iberdrola's subsidiary in the United States.
Pedro Azagra holds a degree in Business Administration and Law from the Instituto Católico de Administración y Dirección de Empresas (ICADE) of the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas in Madrid, where he also taught Corporate Finance and Mergers and Acquisitions. He also holds an MBA from the University of Chicago (United States) and began his professional career in the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley before joining Iberdrola Group.
Until now, in addition to being CEO of Iberdrola in the US, he has served as president of Avangrid Power and Avangrid Networks, and is currently a board member of Neoenergia, Iberdrola Group's Brazilian subsidiary.
