Navalmoral de la Mata has eight solar communities that have been set up in the city by Iberdrola España, so more than 1,275 families can benefit from a discount off their electricity bills and access to renewable self-consumption without the need to have their own installation or make any investments.
To explain how it works and how to sign up for this type of power, the energy company has set up an informational point that will be open from tomorrow, 11 June, until 13 June on Calle Urbano González Serrano in Navalmoral de la Mata, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
These 8 communities have more than 1,500 solar panels with a total power of 704 kWp and an annual generation of 1,018 MWh, which will prevent the release of more than 200 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere. These eight solar communities are located on the roofs of different buildings in the city, from condos to industrial warehouses, spare parts workshops and metal shops.
With this self-consumption arrangement, any customer located within 2 km of the installation can join and use green, local energy without having to put solar panels on their own home.
Iberdrola España continues with its commitment to green and local energy in the town of Morales, where just a week ago it presented its newly renovated customer service office, located on Calle Antonio Concha 43.
