PPAs are a key instrument for advancing the electrification of the economy.

Gonvarri Industries and the Iberdrola Group, of which Iberdrola España is a part, are giving new impetus to the electrification of industry with the signing of a 10-year renewable energy purchase agreement (Power Purchase Agreement or PPA) for 10 years, covering 26,000 megawatt hours of electricity annually, linked to eight production centres of the multinational specialising in metal solutions for a more sustainable future, located in Spain and three other European countries, as well as the acquisition of guarantees of origin for 100% of the electricity consumption of these facilities.

This collaboration highlights the value of such contracts in moving towards a more competitive and sustainable production model, thanks to the guarantee of a reliable and secure supply of European origin at stable and predictable prices, which contributes to the decarbonisation of the production sector.

80% of the electricity supplied comes from wind farms and 20% from solar photovoltaic installations, with guarantees of origin, and is supported by an installed capacity of 15 MW from the Iberdrola Group.

Thanks to this agreement Gonvarri Industries is reinforcing its commitment to electrification and the use of renewable energy in its European operations, ensuring a stable and competitive supply that helps improve energy efficiency and reduce the group's carbon footprint.

These agreements form part of the Iberdrola Group's strategy to drive the electrification of industry, strengthen stable relationships with major customers and contribute to a more secure, efficient and sustainable energy system capable of meeting growing demand.
