Iberdrola España has unveiled its new immersive training tools, developed to attract new professionals to the electrification sector and drive the digitalisation of learning.

Castile and León’s Minister of Industry, Universities, Employment and Trade, Juan Carlos Suárez-Quiñones, has visited Iberdrola España’s space at the CONAIF National Congress accompanied by Iberdrola Energía España CEO David Martínez; Iberdrola España’s Head of Institutional Relations in Castile and León, Ignacio Antolín; Castile and León’s Territorial Delegate in Salamanca, Eloy Ruiz; and the Secretary General of the Regional Ministry of Industry, Saturnina Moro.

During the visit, he learned about the company’s new immersive training tools, developed to attract new professionals to the electrification sector and promote the digitalisation of learning through new tools that allow users to explore different decarbonisation solutions. Using virtual reality headsets, visitors can enter the digital version of the Installer Centre.

The Installer Centre is a state-of-the-art technical facility available to installer training centres through three dedicated areas: heat pumps, electric vehicle charging points and solar PV, which are already used by more than 260 centres across Spain.

The virtual reality tool enables users to gain practical knowledge of how to install heat pump systems in a safe, innovative and highly interactive environment, helping to accelerate the sector’s specialisation.

As one of the main sponsors of the National Congress of the National Confederation of Associations of Energy and Fluid Installation and Maintenance Companies (CONAIF), taking place these days in Salamanca, Iberdrola España is reaffirming its commitment to installation professionals, a key group in advancing the electrification of the economy and the decarbonisation of energy uses, by making its virtual reality tool available to all training centres for installation companies.

Heat pumps have established themselves as one of the most efficient solutions for heating and cooling homes, businesses and buildings, using renewable energy from the air to provide heating, cooling and hot water, helping to build a cleaner and more competitive energy model.
