Iberdrola España wins contract to supply Toledo with 100% renewable electricity

Iberdrola Clientes, part of Iberdrola España, has been awarded a one-year contract to supply Toledo City Council with 100% renewable electricity. The agreement covers 328 supply points across the municipality and an annual energy demand of 11 GWh.

The tender, with an annual budget of €3.04 million, attracted bids from three companies, with Iberdrola España receiving the highest overall evaluation score.

Under the agreement, all electricity supplied will be backed by 100% renewable guarantees of origin, supporting the city’s commitment to a cleaner and more sustainable energy model based on renewable electricity consumption.

Lower energy costs and greater budget certainty

The contract will provide greater predictability in energy expenditure while helping to reduce overall electricity costs across municipal facilities. As part of the agreement, Iberdrola España will also offer a complimentary advisory service to identify opportunities for improving the energy efficiency of the council’s existing electrical installations.
