More than 500 i-DE employees take stock of their achievements and new challenges arising from the energy transition in Castile and León

Employees enjoy the i-DE meeting

i-DE, External link, opens in new window. Iberdrola España's distribution company, held the 18th edition of its Networks business meeting, which brought together around 500 employees in Castile and León, with a resounding success in terms of participation.

This new edition served to highlight and take stock of the activity carried out during the first nine months of the year, in which the company has recorded excellent service quality and customer service indices.

The director of i-DE in Castile and León, Óscar Villanueva, chaired this conference together with the heads of the Network business in the provinces of Ávila, Burgos, León, Palencia, Salamanca, Soria, Valladolid and Zamora, urging to reinforce the safety of people - especially contractor workers - to minimise the electrical risk and guarantee protection, as well as care for the environment.

The pillars of the Networks business in Spain, they explained, "are also the customer, efficiency and growth, based on innovation and, especially, on people. "We have the responsibility to advance the digitalisation and development of electricity grids, to ensure our role as a facilitator of the energy transition and thus guarantee the decarbonisation objectives set. The grid must be adapted to the needs of the electrification of demand and the integration of renewable energies", stressed the director of i-DE in Castile and León.

i-DE continues to focus all of its efforts on putting the customer at the centre of its operations. The Phoenix project is redesigning the process of new deliveries in order to be proactive and meet customer expectations.

In Castile and León, i-DE manages more than 43,810 km of low and medium voltage lines and more than 6,410 km of high and very high voltage lines. It also has 15,697 transformation centres in service and 246 substations. The company maintains a level of service quality in the region above the national average, with the best year-end value in history.
