Iberdrola España pays tribute to veteran and retired workers in the Basque Country
- The Basque company held a ceremony in Bilbao to recognize the professionals who have contributed to Iberdrola España's growth and expansion.

- Around 175 employees from the Basque Country, joined by colleagues from Navarre, La Rioja and Zaragoza, received a memento for their long career with the company.
Iberdrola España has held the traditional tribute to its veteran professionals in the Basque Country. On this occasion, the company brought together more than 175 employees, who were joined by colleagues from Navarre, La Rioja and Zaragoza, bringing the total to 180, who have been with the company for 25 and 40 years or who retired during the past year.
At the meeting, held in Bilbao, the CEO of Iberdrola España, Mario Ruiz-Tagle, thanked them for their dedication and contribution to the company over all these years. "This is an important day for all of us. Iberdrola España would like to pay tribute to those of you who have spent a large part of your lives dedicated to this important activity for society, which is producing electricity, taking it to the last home, to the last industry or to the last hospital."

The honorees were accompanied by Iberdrola España executives, including Iberdrola España's delegate in the Basque Country and Global Director of People and Services of the Iberdrola group, Asís Canales; the CEO of Iberdrola Renovables, Xabier Viteri; Iberdrola España's Global Director of Customers, Aitor Moso; the Director of Human Resources in Spain, Álvaro Murga; the Director of the Northern Region of i-DE, Javier Arriola; Iberdrola's Director of Processes and Technology, Estíbaliz Goñi; and David Martínez, Director of Customers in Spain.
The professionals received a memento for their years of dedication to Iberdrola España. Current employees who have been with the company for 25 years in 2023 have been presented with a silver caravel, while employees who have been with the company for 40 years received a watch, as have those who retired last year, who have also been presented with a commemorative plate.
