Iberdrola España Installs Two EV Charging Points in Huéscar, Granada
Iberdrola España is making progress in its commitment to sustainable mobility thanks to the installation of two charging points for electric vehicles (EV) in Huéscar. The new infrastructures, located in Calle Granada in the municipality of Huéscar, are already up and running and up to four vehicles can be charged. This initiative responds to the company's aim to have a fast charging station less than 50 km away.
In total, there are two 50 kW chargers and two 22 kW chargers that are operational 24 hours a day. As part of its commitment to sustainability and the environment, and as an effective way to combat climate change, users of these facilities in the town of Granada will be able to charge the their electric vehicle’s battery with 100% green energy, from renewable generation sources, and via the Iberdrola Public Charging App.
This is a highly rated app allowing you to locate and book the nearest charger, gives you the option to plan your routes, check the status of the points and even book and pay from your mobile phone.
Electric mobility and green recovery
The Company has more than 6,500 public charging points with 100% Renewable Energy Guarantee of Origin, Iberdrola España's electric mobility network is the most extensive in Spain. In total, the Company's network has 45,000 chargers – public and private charging points.
The mobility plan, launched by the company in 2016, was the first to be implemented. Today, we plan to install more than 100,000 charging points by 2025, including public charging points, residential, companies and car parks.
The company's goal for 2024 is to provide users with an even wider infrastructure and the best choice of charging locations and speeds.
