Iberdrola España accompanies Grupo Disfrimur throughout the entire process, from identifying savings opportunities to certification and monetization.

Iberdrola España and Grupo Disfrimur continue with their decarbonisation and electrification strategy   within the framework of the agreement reached by the companies to market their energy saving certificates (ESC). The logistics company has implemented various energy efficiency measures which Iberdrola España transforms into monetary savings through the ESC system.

Among the measures carried out by Grupo Disfrimur, its transition in mobility one of the most important, incorporating more than 40 electric vehicles into its fleet in 2023, 2024 and 2025, a decision that Iberdrola España has helped to monetise in the first 2.2GWh to continue promoting Disfrimur's efficiency and sustainability strategy.

The Murcia-based company is implementing other efficiency measures that also lead to energy savings, such as changing tyres, installing telemetry and geopositioning systems in its fleets, and improving its trailers, among other actions.

Iberdrola España, for its part, is accompanying the Disfrimur Group throughout the process, from identifying savings opportunities to certifying and monetising them through the ESC, a vehicle regulated mainly by the Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge (MITECO) as national coordinator.

‘Energy saving is not only a commitment to sustainability, it’s also an opportunity to add value. Grupo Disfrimur and Iberdrola España are celebrating the success of their partnership with the ESC, thanks to the reduction in energy consumption, the optimisation of routes and other decarbonisation initiatives, allowing us to monetise the savings obtained and pushing forward our decarbonisation strategy,’ says Juan Jesús Sánchez, managing director of Grupo Disfrimur.

‘At Iberdrola España, we believe it’s essential to support the energy transition in all its aspects. With Grupo Disfrimur, we are once again supporting the business sector in implementing its electrification and decarbonisation strategies, improving its efficiency and the country's productive fabric’, says Joaquín Longares, commercial representative for Iberdrola España in the Valencian Community and Murcia.
