Iberdrola Group holds its traditional executive meeting in Bilbao during the city's festivities

Ignacio Galán (president of Iberdrola Group) and Pedro Azagra (CEO of Iberdrola Group), alongside Mario Ruiz-Tagle, CEO of Iberdrola España, and other executives of the company, participated in the traditional meeting held in Bilbao

Iberdrola Group’s president, Ignacio Galán, met today in Bilbao with the company’s executive team for their traditional meeting during the Aste Nagusia festival. President Galán congratulated the people of Bilbao on their Semana Grande festivities and highlighted the company’s Basque roots as it approaches its 125th anniversary next year.

 

Thanks to its international growth, Iberdrola Group, which includes Iberdrola España, enhances its role as a driver of the Basque Country’s economy. The company’s economic impact in Basque Country in 2024 exceeded €3.5 billion, reaching a total contribution of over €11 billion to the Basque economy in the last three years.

 

Specifically, Iberdrola España contributed nearly €800 million in 2024 to the Basque Country’s public finances, a 15% increase, and made purchases worth over €2 billion from more than 520 Basque suppliers.
