Last night saw Muras in Lugo province host the final stop of the fourth edition of the Summer Micro-Film Festival, organised by the "Vente a Vivir a un Pueblo" (Come Live in a Village) platform in partnership with Iberdrola España – an initiative that forms part of the company's commitment to cultural revitalisation in rural areas and to highlighting the quality of life in small towns.

The event, which was free and open to all, stood out for its messages promoting sustainability, values and quality of life in rural areas, bringing together locals and visitors for an evening of cinema under the stars, where they were able to enjoy a selection of short films that had won awards in the competitions organised by Iberdrola and Cultura Inquieta (Restless Culture).

Organised in collaboration with Muras Town Council, the initiative transformed the A Veiga leisure area into a space for residents and visitors to meet and socialise with free popcorn and soft drinks also provided during the screening.

The "Vente a Vivir a un Pueblo" Micro-Film Festival, organised by Iberdrola España, has visited other Spanish towns this year. The municipality of Muras, in Lugo, was responsible for bringing the festival to a close – an event designed to bring culture to rural areas and create spaces for people to come together in small towns

Galicia, a strategic region for renewable energy

In the Galicia region, Iberdrola España remains firmly committed to renewable energy. In fact, the company is currently carrying out the repowering of a wind farm in Muras.
