Valencia City Council awarded the City of Valencia’s Medal of Gratitude to i-DE and Iberdrola Clientes, companies that are part of Iberdrola España, for their contribution during the fire in the Campanar neighbourhood on 22 February 2024. The City Council awarded this medal to a total of 67 organisations, companies and institutions.

I-DE received this recognition for its rapid intervention at the request of the Valencia Fire Brigade to disconnect the electrical installations of the affected building, helping to put out the fire. The company worked around the clock to connect the Safranar Building to the grid. This municipal building has 140 homes which were used to house the affected families. In less than 24 hours, the connection work was completed, the meters were installed and the service was operational, allowing the flats to be fitted out immediately.

Iberdrola Clientes was recognised for its agility in signing the households in the municipal building housing affected families up for power and for its support in managing their contracts.
