Iberdrola España completes the electrification of the Port of Pasaia with the installation of an electrical supply infrastructure for ships

  • The company has completed the installation of an OPS connection point to supply renewable energy to ships docked at the port.
  • The shipping company UECC will be the first to benefit from the system, which helps reduce the environmental and noise impact of port operations.
  • The initiative has received support from the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility (MITMS) through the Sustainable and Digital Transport Support Program and as part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, funded by the European Union's Next Generation funds.
