Iberdrola España presents a guide to promote rural entrepreneurship in Burgos

Iberdrola España and CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo have prepared a practical guide, presented by SODEBUR, with the aim of supporting those who wish to start an economic activity in rural areas.
The guide aims to bring entrepreneurship closer to the public as a whole, with particular attention to young people, through clear and accessible language, a highly practical approach and close support. To this end, it provides information and resources on key aspects such as defining the business model, choosing the most suitable legal structure, completing administrative procedures, accessing grants and subsidies and incorporating digitalisation tools that enhance the competitiveness of the business activity.
The preparation of this guide forms part of Construyendo Juntos, Iberdrola España’s pro bono initiative that channels the legal and tax knowledge of the company’s professionals and collaborating law firms, such as CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo, towards projects with a social impact. In this way, the collaboration between Iberdrola España and CMS is a valuable example of responsibility and cooperation, by placing knowledge and experience at the service of those who wish to undertake business ventures and create opportunities in our towns and villages.
Francisco de Borja García Ruíz, Director of Legal Services at Iberdrola España, highlighted that “Construyendo Juntos reflects Iberdrola España’s commitment to its social dividend, as set out in its Articles of Association, by placing the knowledge and experience of our professionals at the service of projects that generate a positive impact on society. This guide is an example of how this commitment can be translated into useful tools to promote entrepreneurship and contribute to the development of rural areas”.
For his part, Emilio Moyano, Director of the Pro Bono Practice at CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo, said that “we believe that bringing practical legal knowledge closer to entrepreneurs is an effective way of contributing to the economic and social development of rural areas. The Provincial Council of Burgos’ commitment to entrepreneurship and the economic development of rural areas is channelled through the Burgos Rural Strategic Plan (PEBUR), promoted by SODEBUR. This plan identifies strengthening the business fabric and creating employment as two of its main priorities, promoting initiatives aimed at facilitating the creation of new business ventures and consolidating existing ones.
