The XIX Malpartida de Plasencia Half Marathon, Iberdrola Grand Prix, will take place in the Monfragüe Biosphere Reserve on November 16

Previous edition of the Malpartida de Plasencia Half Marathon – Monfragüe Biosphere Reserve – Iberdrola Grand Prix

On Sunday, November 16, Malpartida de Plasencia will host the XIX Malpartida de Plasencia Half Marathon – "Iberdrola Grand Prix," a sporting event that brings together nature, health, and community in a unique environment.


The event, organized by the Malpartida de Plasencia Town Hall and supported by Iberdrola España as the main sponsor, will feature various categories: Half Marathon (21 km), 10 km, Hiking Route, MTB Route, and children’s races, encouraging participation from all ages. Registrations for the 2025 edition are progressing well, with more than 300 athletes already signed up. The race will take place through the Monfragüe Biosphere Reserve, an area of exceptional natural value, making the event a unique experience for both athletes and spectators. Additionally, there will be a community meal open to participants and their families.


This edition of the Half Marathon returns to the circuit with a start in Malpartida de Plasencia and a finish in Villarreal de San Carlos, allowing runners to enjoy a very favorable course and a stunning finish in the heart of Monfragüe.


Iberdrola España reaffirms its commitment to sports, sustainable development, and promoting healthy lifestyle habits through this sponsorship, supporting initiatives that highlight the natural spaces of Extremadura.


Registrations will be open until 3:00 PM on November 12, with reduced prices until November 2 on the official website.


The event is part of the Euroace Circuit of Major Races, coordinated by the Extremadura Athletics Federation and the Government of Extremadura, and is supported by the Cáceres Provincial Council, in addition to the sponsorship of Iberdrola España.
