The Executive Chairman of the Iberdrola Group, Ignacio Galán, attended today the presentation of the expansion of the Faramax plant in Malpartida de Plasencia (Cáceres), a project involving a €37 million investment that will significantly increase transformer production.
Ignacio Galán highlighted that this project demonstrates the potential of public-private collaboration, referencing Faramax's origins, which came from the joint effort of the Junta de Extremadura and the Corporación Empresarial de Extremadura.
"Public-private collaboration, dialogue, and working in the same direction are needed. Together, we can create great works, generate thousands of jobs; it's essential for the progress of countries," he said, with a special mention of the former presidents of the Junta de Extremadura, Juan Carlos Rodríguez Ibarra and the late Guillermo Fernández Vara, as well as the current president, María Guardiola, who was present at the event, acknowledging their role in this successful partnership.
Faramax has been awarded the Iberdrola Convive awards and recognized as Supplier of the Year for Iberdrola España in its 2024 edition in the Sustainability and Contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals category.
