Iberdrola España honors veteran and retired workers from the Valencian Community

Iberdrola España held its traditional tribute to its veteran professionals from the Valencian Community, gathering about a hundred employees who either retired in the past year or celebrated 25 and 40 years of service at the company.

 

The event was attended by the CEO of Iberdrola España, Mario Ruiz-Tagle, who expressed his gratitude for the dedication and effort of the employees over decades, which have enabled the company’s growth and international expansion, making it a global leader.

 

Mario Ruiz-Tagle highlighted during the event that nearly 125 years ago "the foundations of Iberdrola España were laid in the country, and we have been able to make an extraordinary journey thanks to all of you, which has allowed us to be one of the two largest companies in the world and the first European utility."

The CEO also emphasized the sense of pride in “providing a great service to society 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, and always being there when needed, such as during the DANA storm that devastated the province of Valencia. That’s why it’s crucial to have the dedication and effort of all of you, whose experience is key to facing challenges and advancing electrification."

 

The honorees, who came from various areas in the provinces of Alicante, Castellón, and Valencia, as well as from the Region of Murcia and Castilla-La Mancha, were joined by Iberdrola España executives, including the Director of People and Organization of Iberdrola España, Álvaro Murga; the Director of i-DE in the Eastern Region, Guillermo Raga; the Director of CN Cofrentes, Javier Sala; the Head of People and Organization for Iberdrola Sustainable Energy, Julio Belinchón; the Head of Iberdrola Renewables Mediterranean, Sandra Machirán; the Head of Maintenance for i-DE in the Eastern Region, Álvaro Campos; and the company’s representative in the Valencian Community, Ibán Molina.

 

The professionals received a gift for their years of service at Iberdrola España. Those with 40 years of service were presented with a watch, while those who retired last year were also given a commemorative plate. Active employees who reached 25 years of service in 2024 were given a silver replica of a caravel.

 

The company also plans to hold similar recognition events for employees in Bilbao, Valladolid, and Madrid in the near future.
