Coria, in Cáceres (Extremadura), now has six new electric vehicle charging points in operation, managed by Iberdrola España and located across three strategic sites within the municipality.

Specifically, the new installations are located on Avenida Monseñor Riberi, Avenida Sierra de Gata and Avenida Virgen de Argeme. Each site includes two parking spaces connected to a fast-charging unit, allowing two vehicles to charge simultaneously.

The equipment installed in March corresponds to Ingeteam’s “Rapid 60 duo” model, which supports direct current charging and is designed for integration into urban environments. Each installation has a total power capacity of 100 kW (50 kW per charging point). The areas are also equipped with dedicated signage and impact protection features.

The project forms part of a public tender launched by Coria Town Council for the concession of three public spaces designated for the installation and operation of charging infrastructure. Iberdrola España was awarded the contract, which covers the installation, operation and maintenance of the charging points over a concession period of ten years, extendable up to a maximum of twenty.

During this period, the company will be responsible for the full management of the service, including maintenance, operation and the eventual removal of the facilities at the end of the contract.

Iberdrola España now has more than 11,000 charging points in operation across Spain, having brought over 2,500 into service in the past year alone. The company now accounts for 22% of the country’s public charging infrastructure, reinforcing its leadership and consolidating its position as Spain’s most extensive charging network.
