ATuAire, a company owned by Iberdrola España, and Mediterráneo are working together to promote the electrification of owners' associations

  • The agreement will enable thousands of homeowners' associations to replace their gas or diesel boilers with aerothermal energy, achieving savings of up to 40% on their bills, 100% financing and comprehensive management of all available grants

ATuAire, a company belonging to Iberdrola España that specialises in efficient air conditioning and aerothermal energy, and Mediterráneo, a leading property management firm in Spain with more than 60 years' experience, have signed a collaboration agreement to promote the electrification of homeowners' associations.


The aim of the partnership is to facilitate the replacement of centralised heating and hot water systems fuelled by fossil fuels with aerothermal energy, without the owners' association having to make an initial investment.


Aerothermal systems harness energy from the outside air to provide heating, cooling and domestic hot water with a much higher efficiency than traditional boilers, offering residents' associations tangible benefits such as savings of up to 40% on the building's energy bill.

 

In addition, the installation can be carried out with no upfront investment thanks to 100% financing supported by Energy Saving Certificates (ESCs). It can reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 70%, helping to increase the value of the property and improve its energy efficiency rating. The service also includes comprehensive management of available grants and tax benefits, including personal income tax (IRPF) deductions available until 31 December 2027, regional grants and reductions in property tax (IBI) and the tax on construction, installations and works (ICIO).


Through this agreement, both companies offer residents' associations a turnkey service covering the entire process: feasibility study and energy analysis, bespoke technical design, financing, processing of grants and permits, installation and commissioning, support with tax deductions and subsequent maintenance. Everything is coordinated through a single point of contact, without the residents' association having to manage suppliers or administrative procedures separately.
